Why Warlocs?

We can help you with translations to and from the following languages:

All Warlocs translators are gamers themselves with years of game localization experience, working with leading AAA game studios and Indie developers. Because we provide game localization for gamers, what better than to have the translation done by gamers who know “game-speak”?

A lot of translation agencies often have a pool of translators on their calling list. So more often that not, it is the “readily available” translators who work on each project, and it’s not always the translator with game localization experience who will work on your project.

While Warlocs translators are very flexible in their scheduling, we will always be honest with you when our translators are unavailable to take on a project. We will not hire “outside help” to get the work done and pass it off as our own work. The translators you see on our team list will be the very translators localizing your game. In a situation where all our translators aren’t able to work on your game at the same time, we will do our best to provide translation for the translators who are available, then will get the other translators to work on your game once they’ve finished their other projects, and can work on your game with a clear and focused mind.

Pricing

ONE RATE & ONE INVOICE

Warlocs provides one affordable rate for all the languages our translators provide. Therefore, developers don’t have to look around all over the internet to find and negotiate with individual translators.

Translation agencies and translators usually charge different rates for different language pairs, based on the “market rate” of the language and the amount of exposure it has.

That means popular languages like French, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese usually have a “premium value” and languages like Chinese and Portuguese are available for really low rates.

A lot of agencies also have different pricing plans for “different areas” of game translations. Game dialogue and system texts often have different rates. Some charge much more for the translation of press releases, Steam page information, marketing and social media posts etc.

But at Warlocs, developers are able to have their games localized for one rate for all their localization needs, and can freely choose what languages they want. You can have your game, your press release, your kickstarter page, your Steam page information, all translated at the same rate.

And when you submit an invoice, you can also send in one invoice and pay through one transaction, if you wish, instead of setting up multiple different bank transfers to different translators.

Since we are a collective, and not a company, Warlocs doesn’t have “sales targets” or “quotas” to meet. We also do not have “Project Managers” and other administrative roles, to take a middleman fee, so you will be working directly with the Warlocs translators, and ONLY the Warlocs translators. This is also why Warlocs translators are able to provide their quality service at a very competitive and indie-friendly rate.

While we may introduce developers to the number of languages we can provide localization for, we will never pressure you or guilt you into localizing your game into more languages than you need.
